Types of Tree Trimming and Pruning Services
Tree trimming and tree pruning is our primary service provided and the service we recommend most to potential clients. Tree trimming and tree pruning when done correctly creates a net positive to the overall health of your tree and the environment it inhabits.
When offering our service we focus on four fundamental objectives: thinning, removing dead/dying/dangerous branches, crown raising, branch reduction, and structural pruning.
Tree Thinning is done when your tree has a dense crown, and you are need more sun to penetrate your garden/lawn and eliminating branches that rub against each other to prevent wound creation, improve airflow, and improve growth form.
We remove dead, dying, disease branches to improve the overall health of the tree and reduce the risk of damage from falling branches. Overtime the cut created from our trimming close and reduces the possibility of spreading decay and dead branches. Removing these branches are important as you reduce the likelihood of a branch landing on your home, neighbor's home, fence, property, or another living being.
Crown raising is done when branches have spread farther than a certain level and has lost its base shape. Thus crown raising is removes low hanging branches and damaged branches to create a uniform look for your tree. Crown raising can also be done to improve vehicle clearance and improve signage visibility.

Branch reduction is typically done when tree limbs and branches are encroaching on property such as your roof/garage/windows/power lines or on your neighbor's property. Branch reduction reduces the length of the branch back to a lateral branch to properly heal from the cut made. The Branch reductions would then reduce or eliminate the risk of property damage from a falling branch, limits storm damage, and improves the tree's structure.

Structural Pruning is removing branches of a tree to improve its structural growth in the future. Structural pruning is most appropriate on younger trees to influence the growth of the tree as it matures. Structural pruning usually entails choosing a branch leader direct the growth of the tree, removing dead branches that can increase the likelihood of diseases, improves spacing amongst the tree branches, and removes branches with poor attachment to the base of the tree. This practice improves the long term health and reduces the risk of problems in the future which is why it is best done after a couple years from when the tree has been planted.
