Why Remove a Tree Stump?

Stump removals are typically the last part of a tree removal if a client requests it, but may be necessary for a couple of reasons. A client may plan on doing renovations where the stump and roots are so it has to be removed. An owner may also want to plant in the area where the tree once was, so the stump is removed to clear the area and be ready for new plants.

Stumps can also be removed to prevent insects and pest, aesthetic concerns, or to prevent new growth. Over the years a stump will decay but may attract unsightly creatures that aid in the decay, but can be a nuisance. Leaving the stump to decay may also ruin the aesthetic of your property. In some circumstances A large leftover stump take away from the lawn's appeal and is an eyesore on what otherwise would be a beautiful property. Finally, although the tree is removed, a stump and its roots still has the possibility of producing new shoots that will eventually grow into another tree if not removed immediately.

Our Stump Removal Process

Before we a stump is removed we visit the area to make our stump grinder has at least a 3 ft entrance to get the stump grinder inside. If a client requests the removal we grind the stump down roughly 6-12 inches into the ground. The wood chips from the grindings are taken away and we leave some wood chips at ground level so topsoil can be thrown over it, or ready for a different planting.
